Customer service at the heart of the company
Established since 1990, this family-run business is Leicestershire’s longest-running stairlift company. Associated Stairlifts, which has just 20 staff, prides itself on helping consumers with mobility issues. It makes a point of understanding the client’s needs and providing useful, professional and friendly advice to help consumers make the final decision.
When the company was first set up 33 years ago, there were no other companies around able to supply reconditioned or rented stairlifts, making Associated Stairlifts the first independent company to offer recycled equipment, reducing their carbon footprint and offering a more cost effective solution for its customers.
The company specialises in stairlifts and offers customers a variety of solutions, such as renting or buying, depending on the customer’s needs and financial capacity.
This emphasis on customer service is key. Sara told us: ‘Customer service and feedback is very important to all of us, and we feel that this is reflected in the numerous telephone calls we receive.’
Associated Stairlifts has a superb score of 4.9 out of 5 for customer service, based on more than 200 reviews.
A review from one happy customer shows why it’s so in demand: ‘Associated Stairlifts made the installation of our unit simple, straightforward and stress-free. The engineer called us thirty minutes before arrival, installed the unit within an hour and a half, gave us a helpful demonstration, answered our questions and that was it.’
Another customer commented: ‘Absolutely brilliant. I called on Tuesday and the stairlift was put in on Thursday. I was impressed how quickly the work was done and there was no mess at all.’

Charitable work is part of their DNA
Associated Stairlifts takes seriously the importance of giving back and being part of the community.
One example is its partnership with a local animal sanctuary - Redgate Farm – giving an annual monetary donation. A couple of staff members also help by collecting and donating bedding, sheets, and food to the charity.
Associated Stairlifts also sponsors Wishes 4 Kids, a local children’s charity that provides experiences for children with illnesses, or who have lost someone close to them. The company has been able to help children, including a five-year-old boy who has cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy. With the help of the company's fundraising the boy has been able to go to Disneyland Paris with his family.
Its commitment is not only focused on charity work but also in supporting the environment. The company has taken several steps towards creating a smaller footprint and providing a greener impact. And since June 2022, its headquarters is now powered by solar panels and also has two EV charging stations.
