Took my computer in to be mended the week before Christmas, was all mended the same week and had the computer back quickly. Good communication. Professional team and excellent service. Will certainly use again and can highly recommend.

I run 2 PC's, neither were Win11 compliant according to MS tools. I contacted Lee at Inspiration Computer to replace both. After discussion, Lee advised 1 replacement and 1 to be upgraded with an SSD. This was done as two jobs to minimise distruption to my business. I needed the PC being replaced to be cloned onto the new one to ensure all applications were present. Lee promised best efforts, and delivered brilliantly. Everything worked fantasically on the new PC, performance was also great. No major issues with the cloned PC were experienced. Once new PC settled in, Lee upgraded the existing one with an SSD as agreed. Once again, everything went brilliantly, the resulting performance boost was amazing. Also Lee ensured the PC was Win11 ready by tweaking the bios. I have dealt with this company a number of times and cannot recommend them highly enough.

Contacted Inspiration computers during lockdown and unfortunately the part could not be sourced. Realising the laptop still needed to be repaired as University was approaching Lee at Inspiration Computers found the part and ordered this. Within a week from my initial enquiry the laptop was fixed and is as good as new. Very good communication throughout and reasonable pricing .. saved me from having to buy a new one!!

I was put in touch with Lee from Inspiration Computers by PCPro magazine when trying to help a friend who was locked out of her One Drive having moved house. The old landline number was changed by new residents and 2FA resulted in a determined 'Microsoft says no!'. Lee talked through the issues and Mary's questions and let us to a workaround we had not thought of, and suggested some cost saving alternatives. Really helpful and very positive, Lee demonstrated really good professional knowledge. Excellent remote support. Highly recommended.

We recently bought a new laptop from Lee and Alison. Not being any sort of expert Lee and Alison gave us excellent advice. E-Mails were sent to me with a full range of products and specifications, and follow up advice was received, and duly noted. All the information we received greatly helped us to make the choice on our purchase, and when the laptop arrived Lee transferred everything across from our old laptop, and set everything up for us, very quickly and efficiently. In the last two weeks Lee and Alison have contacted us to make sure we are happy with everything, and to advise us that if we have any questions just to get back in touch with them. The customer focus is excellent, and I will be using them again if I need anything in the future, be it hardware or software, all the advice is based on exactly what the customer requires. I congratulate you Lee and Alison for all the advice and work you did for us.

Lee has an incredible range of hardware knowledge and brought my laptop back from the dead! Worth the 150 mile round trip to get it sorted.

New keyboard needed for my laptop following an accident with a cup of coffee! I was given an estimate of time and cost by Lee and the work was completed in quick time and under the estimated cost given. Excellent service as always by Alison and Lee.

I bought a new Laptop from Lee and he was so helpful, discussed the kind of one I wanted, and gave advice about setting it up. I was pleased with my new laptop and cannot thank him enough, as he also helped me sort a password issue I was having.

After dropping off my daughter's faulty laptop and outlining the various issues, Inspiration explained their plan of action including how they'd monitor the intermittent fault and contact us. As we were interested in a faster speed they offered also to send details of appropriate in stock alternative laptops. They did everything they said they would, in good time, giving us costs for a couple of the required repairs which meant we'd be as well considering a new machine which would also give us some improved speed. We were asked what we'd use the machine for, (university work), they asked which course at Uni as this helped them to understand which machine would be better given the likely need for graphics as opposed to documents etc The new machine choices were outlined well, and made choosing one simple. They outlined costs for transferring files etc over but suggested we have a go ourselves as we didn't have a lot to move but to get in touch if we had any problems. (we didn't). They outlined the trial security package and limitations to check if our existing package could be added to the new machine (it could). Further to that, they've since been in touch to check that we're happy and that all went ok. I really don't see how they could have been more helpful. And they're a small business in the local village so we're really happy to be supporting them.

Lee and Alison offer excellent customer service, advice and support. All my questions were answered very patiently and in a language I understood. I was given time to make my decision on the purchase and I never felt pressured. At all times, I was treated as an individual and the level of customer service was excellent throughout. My needs were assessed and I eventually ended up with a product that exceeded expectations and met my needs. I would wholeheartedly recommend this business.

The computer I originally bought from Inspiration Computers about 8 years ago needed attention so I took it to Inspiration, as I always have done. They said they would investigate the problem and get back to me within a few days. When he did get back to me he told me that my PC problem was irreparable so I asked him for details of a replacement the options for which he emailed to me. There was no pushy sales patter just factual information so he and I could meet my expectations. I made my choice and he told me when the new PC would be ready. It was in fact ready several days before the promised date and the price was exactly as the one he originally quoted

We left our laptop for a repair as the screen was starting to flicker. The service we received was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful from the first call to the collection. The problem was diagnosed free of charge. A new screen was likely needed and, due to the nature of this particular screen, we would need to go to the manufacturers. We were not charged for this service and, in addition, everything was tightened up (also free of charge). This has resolved the issue for the time being in any case. We are grateful for this helpful service. Everything was explained clearly and understandably.

I have had to go to Inspiration Computers several times, being an ageing, non tech-savvy numpty. Lee always sorts the problem out with patience and good humour. Inspiration were recommended to me by a friend and I in turn highly recommend this business.

I contacted Inspiration Computers about a job I doubted they would be able to help me with. However, they did solve the problem and I am delighted with the results. I cannot recommend them highly enough and will definitely use them again.

Had a HP laptop that was so slow I used my mobile. I contacted inspiration with my problem to see if anything could be done to save it from being thrown away. Inspiration told me I needed a new hard drive and gave me a price which was so much lower than buying a new one. Repair was done within two days. Absolutely amazed with speed,customer service, and price . Would throughly recommend to all. Absolutely inspirational.( excuse the pun)

Inspiration advised on a new system which was about half the cost of that which I selected form available products. I am delighted with the new system having scant knowledge of computers and their operation. I was a little concerned that on account of Covid, Inspiration were not able to provide on site installation at my home. (I consider that Inspiration's arrangements to cope with virus have been totally satisfactory throughout) The work was done on time and to budget and required only three short telephone calls one to assist me to assemble the system and two to operate it. The company has infinite patience and appreciates a customer's lack of knowledge in my case.

Machine was old, required HP part unavailable on HP parts ordering website. Along with that it had an off motherboard mounted eMMC drive. Lee admitted he’d never come across such an arrangement before! A special drive connector cable was needed. Presumably using trade contacts the necessary cable was sourced and acquired. The new hard drive required an unconventional type of fitting and this was achieved. Offered choice of drives, chose 480GB, Windows 10 was cloned from original hard drive. Job done. Computer now works just right and updates Windows automatically. The first lesson here for anyone reading this review is never never never buy a computer running Windows 10 if the hard drive size is 32GB. You will experience immense frustration and disappointment from such a machine. Continually and especially with failure to download/install Windows updates. Second lesson is Inspiration could handle a very unusual effectively obsolete machine that required a hard drive upgrade. I think a minimum hard drive size for a Windows 10 machine should be 128GB. But if thinking of buying a laptop maybe best to consult or hire Inspiration to advise you on CPU/memory/hard drive/screen/battery life etc. Because they are a repair shop they may well know what the machine is like inside and its capabilities/repairability. This was the second job done for me by Inspiration Computers. First review detailed in ‘Excellent advice and then correct diagnostics and repair.’ (28/10/2019)

We have been customers of 'Inspiration Computers' since they first opened and have always received excellent service from them on the many occasions we have needed help. We cannot praise them highly enough. They are prompt and pleasant when responding to our many queries.Their 'in-depth' technical expertise ensures that they have answers to the varied needs we have experienced over the years. They are always prepared to 'go the extra mile'. For example: delivering a new keyboard to our doorstep at 10 pm so that we would not be without our computer during the Covid outbreak. It is reassuring for us to know that they are always available to help. In short, Lee and Alison are a pleasant, reliable, professional and skilful team; who are also excellent value for money. Had serious issues on my laptop after an update. Lee collected it on Monday, restored everything including Windows (updated version) and installed the software I had been unable to. He suggested a new solid state drive which I was very happy with as it was running very slowly. Laptop delivered on Wed, I am extremely pleased!

The task in hand was to source a new desk top PC. Given the current restrictions, my contact with Lee was by phone and email. This didn't prove to be a barrier, since Lee provided basic information by email and was on hand on the phone to answer queries and provide additional advice. Every effort was made to ensure that Lee understood my likely requirements and that I understood what I was buying, the time frame for sourcing kit, its assemble and protocol for delivery in the current restrictions. The PC and associated kit was delivered within the agreed time frame. The kit matches my expectations and I have confidence that if there are issues which need addressing in the future, Lee or Alison will respond promptly. Overall a very positive 'buying experience' from a trader I can trust.

I received fantastic support, advice and support from Lee. He was friendly, helpful, thorough, knowledgeable, efficient and thoroughly trustworthy. He tried to fix my broken laptop, but when it could not be saved, he was able to source me a new laptop and then set it up as my previous laptop. I will now be a life-long customer!

I cannot thank Lee at Inspiration Computers enough, for his courteous, helpful and thorough support in getting my very poorly desktop PC working again. Working remotely, into the late evening he managed to isolate and remove a particularly nasty virus that had infected it from, believe it or not, an amusing Whats App Covid 19 meme attachment, innocently sent by a friend. Once again, this trader has helped me and mine with tremendous back up and quality of product and service. We have, over the years, purchased 5 computers; plus, various add-ons and would not go anywhere else for our PC needs. I totally recommend this trader.

I needed an upgrade on my laptop from Windows 7 to 10. Service was friendly, very prompt and and time was taken to explain the aspects that I did not understand. A real effort was taken to charge me only what needed to be done, instead of following Microsoft's advice to replace my laptop. I came on a recommendation from a friend, and I've already recommended Inspiration to another friend. It is reassuring to know that there is a helpful small business nearby that can sort out your tech problems.

Lee and Alison are so friendly and have designed and developed my website over The many years of me being self employed. They host my website too and look after it for me. They are my first port of call if I can’t find my way around anything IT. As I’m dyslexic and sometimes find it difficult. They have helped me so much in the past, with my need for a lap top and backing it up and talking me through things in simple terms that I can understand. They’ve also helped me with small things such as putting my email on my New iPhone. I highly recommend them. They are so professional and friendly too! Fast service! I wouldn’t go anywhere else! I've been a customer with Inspiration Computers for over ten years. They have built two desktop PCs for me, both exactly what I needed and done on time and to budget. No upselling or waffle here, if you don't need it, Lee and Alison will tell you. The choice of PC spec available has something for all needs and budgets and of course they will tailor it to your own requirements. I can honestly say I would not go anywhere else, my son is a computer programmer/ technician and would underline my comments. Don't hesitate to try them out, they will guide you through whatever your knowledge level.

As an elderly numpty when it comes to computers I can only say thank goodness for Lee and Alison at Inspirations. Over several years they have helped me and my equipment keep going. However the time came two weeks ago when I had to get a new lap top and finally take on Windows 10. Lee worked his magic and sorted everything with what I consider to be very important and that was his infinite patience. Without hesitation I would recommend their services.

On Monday 27th of January I thought I would be clever and do a free update from Windows 7 to Windows 10. It took all night but I ended up with Windows 10. But I lost all my bookmarks and lost all my files. Luckily I had backed up 99% of the files to an external hard drive. Hmm I thought, I'll do a System Restore and as the machine rolled backed it just packed in and died. I took my PC to Inspiration Computers on Tuesday 28th January, told them the tale, and booked my machine in. Thursday 30th January at 16:55 I received a text to say my PC was fixed and Inspiration Computers had updated it to Windows 10 and recovered all my data. Bingo, what a result. I went and picked the machine up, got it all running again, which seemed faster than before, and it had been cleaned (dust removal). I owe Alison and Lee big time because by fixing my PC I got Guns n Roses tickets for London in May for my wife. I live in the village where Inspiration Computers is based and I use them whenever I need PC help. Alison and Lee are experts with computers and straight talkers; no PC waffle to bamboozle you. Excellent service and I am a very, very satisfied customer.

I first met Alison when someone had bought me a computer from Currys which was unsuitable. I had tried to return it but had been refused. I phoned Inspiration Computers to asked what they would suggest I buy and after finding out what model I had, Alison came to see me at home with a computer that was very similar to my old one so it would be easy for me to make the change. She also encouraged me to continue to ask for a refund and I succeeded. She spent time finding out what I use it for and transferred relevant data across and set it up. Then came to my house to link it to the internet and to my printer. She made the process very easy which was great as I have cancer. I found their service to be professional, knowledgeable and straightforward. Am very lucky that they are in my village.

Two computers. HP Stream 11 required larger hard drive and battery test. And Dell Inspiron 3650 not booting to Windows. Was advised that upgrade for HP Stream was uneconomic. Lee directed me to a website containing instructions to disassemble it and do DIY upgrade. Knew the job was beyond me. Lee’s advice very helpful in deciding to cancel the upgrade plan. And that advice was not to his firm’s financial advantage. Which made me think I had come across a firm which had integrity. Subsequent events proved him right twice over. His initial advice. And upgrading required serious professional knowledge of computer motherboards. On Inspiron used Dell diagnostic software. It decided the hard drive needed replacing (cost about £97) and the wireless card needed reseating and the antenna was not right. Then did as Lee advised and made a Windows 10 Installation Media USB stick. Which failed to start Windows. At that point boxed it up and sent it to Inspiration Computers. The diagnosis? Main SSD C drive gone. Rest of machine ok. Offered choice of three drives, chose 480GB and Lee did the rest. All fixed now. Not once did diagnostics say SSD was broken. Could have bought a new hard drive. A new wireless card. And a new copy of Windows 10. I am an amateur. To quote Red Adair 'If you think hiring a professional is expensive wait until you hire an amateur.' Got a broken computer? Are you an amateur? Avoid wasting your time. Make contact with Inspiration Computers!

Fast, friendly and helpful and offer good advice without attempting to sell you anything. Fixed a Microsoft office software issue within about 5 minutes. Will definitely use again and can only recommend their service.

I've just purchased my second PC from this family firm and had the same excellent service as I had before . Good quality equipment at good value prices backed up with extremely good and friendly service in the shop and on the phone . The desktop computer was looping around trying to start but never making it. There was also occasionally a (as it turned out) spurious error message about BIOS corruption. Lee has a very professional and easy going manner on the phone and I had no concerns about dropping the computer round to him. He quickly identified the main problem as a faulty power unit and also updated the BIOS whilst he had the machine. Absolutely no attempt to talk-up the problem or sell a new machine. Pricing very reasonable. I will probably be returning when it comes to replacing this ageing Windows7 machine.

Alison and Lee installed a new solid state hard drive having re-partitioned and cloned the old one, retrieved iTunes, and found a Cold Play CD which had been stuck in the innards of my laptop for years! (Don't ask how it got there!) Their advice was impeccable - I never felt I was being given a "hard sell" - the pricing was very reasonable, and the work was completed in record time, way ahead of the completion time they quoted. I couldn't be happier. Highly recommended!

I have known Alison & Lee for over 5 years and they are a genuine old style local business. I have purchased a desktop, software, an email address and a laptop from them over the years and am delighted with the products. Always there to help and advise, when things go wrong, as they do. Their patience and knowledge when dealing with both my wife and myself, means that having recently moved across the country, we are still using their services. I even arranged for Alison to work on my company's website, when we needed upgrades, all done as usual, with smiles and professional courtesy. Another local computer 'service' lost all my data after being specifically asked not to during some cleaning up and updating of software on my laptop. They took over 2 weeks trying to recover it without success. Lee, at Inspiration Computers got the whole lot back within a couple of days. He has an easy friendly manner and it was a joy to do business with him. So I would recommend them without reservation.

Had issue where some software would flash the screen for no explicable reason. I had tried all sorts. Left with Lee, and he managed to track it down and sort it. Very friendly, explained what was done and supplied information so can fix another machine myself which has the same symptoms.

We visited Inspiration Computers with our old laptop as we were unsure if it could be repaired. Lee gave us an honest opinion on the cost of the repair and didn't at any point pressure us into buying a new laptop. His comments helped us to make a decision that a new laptop would be the best option. Lee then went on to give us a detailed opinion on the best laptop appropriate to our needs. Lee offered support if we needed it following purchase if we had any issues. We did have an issue with a message that appeared on our screen and on phoning the shop, Lee quickly helped us to sort this issue out by logging onto our laptop remotely. The service was exceptional and I would recommend the shop and services to anyone looking for a first class service. My old Dell was grinding to a halt and started freezing and performing badly. Inspiration installed a new hard drive and gave great advise how to reload all my software etc. He also charged less money than the original quote so very happy. Ian & Pam Kirkheaton Huddersfield

I can recommend Inspiration with no reservations whatsoever. I had a hardware problem with my laptop keyboard. It turned out to be a part that was rare and hard to find, but that didn't deter Inspiration from making sure that my machine got fixed. It was the kind of problem that an independent 'come to your home' kind of technician wouldn't have taken on, and the kind of problem that a bigger chain would have turned down as not worth their while. If it hadn't been for Inspiration I think I would have ended up having to get a new machine, which would have been expensive, and a waste of an otherwise good laptop. I dealt with Lee, but I believe his partner is every bit as good, and was kept updated every step of the way. I was given a full diagnosis of the problem and a clear price for the cost of repair (no having to wonder about or work out VAT). The repair was done quickly, immaculately and the cost was really reasonable. Please don't hesitate to deal with these great folk; I wouldn't hesitate in using them again. I'm lucky that they're relatively near to me, but if you're not quite as near, I would say that they're well worth the journey if you want honest, reliable, well-priced and efficient service. And who doesn't want that?!

We needed our sons computer unlocking as he had forgotten his password, but it was essential we didn't lose the software on the computer. They explained it might take sometime but were not phased by the problem and gave a fast professional service. very reasonable price would certainly go there again.

I needed to replace my laptop monitor due to a slight accident(!) & found Inspiration Computers Ltd from a quick internet search. I felt confident in approaching this business to undertake the work, due to the very good customer testimonials on their website.... I can see why.... Alison & Lee were very helpful, pleasant and informative. Luckily the correct replacement part was in stock with them (but they assured me of next day delivery for the part if not). I collected my repaired laptop back within a couple of hours!.....a happy customer I would have no hesitation in recommending Inspiration Computers, or in using them again in the future.

I needed someone to take a look at my device for insurance purposes, and had already read the great feedback that Lee and Alison had received. Their communication was always really quick, and the service they provided was excellent. Although I'm no further on with getting the device sorted, this is by no means any fault of Inspiration Computers. I simply can't fault them! I've definitely found my go-to place for all things computer related, and would definitely trust them with my pride and joy PC! :)

Recommended to me by a family friend. Went with an issue with my laptop fan making an unbearably loud noise. Was told straight away when my laptop would be seen to (the next morning because I took it in late in the day). I got a phone call at midday the next day with a diagnosis, a quote and an expected completion date. Very happy with the value and schedule, especially seeing as the part had to be ordered in from Europe. Would recommend to anyone with any laptop issues. Saved me plenty of money as I was considering buying a new laptop altogether, and saved me many headaches as I can't hear a peep from the fan anymore. Very friendly and open customer service. 10/10.

Excellent advice for a new laptop professionally given in understandable language. A home visit was carried out to install a new wifi router and connect to all devices. This was done very quickly and efficiently at a very reasonable cost. Grateful thanks to Lee.
